BELLE ÉPOQUE BLANC DE BLANCS
The eyeA deep gold color.
The noseFresh flowers such as lime blossom evolve into fruity aromas.
The palateElegant champagne with floral notes, a hint of spice, and a velvety finish.
For its elegance, its refinement and its wonderful silken texture, I associate Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs with a white orchid, my favourite flower.SÉVERINE FRERSON
Heritage
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs was originally created from the 1993 harvest and released to celebrate the new millennium – a symbolic moment for a landmark launch. True to the exacting principles of its founders, Maison Perrier-Jouët only declares a vintage in years of near perfect conditions, making all its Belle Epoque vintage cuvées a rarity, with Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs the rarest of them all.
The vintage
2017 was a cold, dry winter overall. After a particularly warm start to spring, April saw a sharp drop in the thermometer and episodes of frost. The summer was hot and dry until the end of July. Alternating periods of heavy rain and high temperatures lasted until the harvest at the beginning of September, accelerating grape ripening and producing wines with a beautiful floral profile.
