July 2019 – Maison Perrier-Jouët is proud to announce that five of its cuvées have been awarded gold medals at the 2019 edition of the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships. The gold medal winners are Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé 2010, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2004, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2006 and Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2008.
The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships has established itself as the most respected, comprehensive and rigorous international sparkling wine competition in the world. Wines are judged completely blind at all stages of the competition, with particular emphasis placed on elegance and finesse. Judged by the renowned specialists Tom Stevenson, Essi Avellan and Tony Jordan, it provides consumers and trade with the definitive annual guide to the very best champagnes and sparkling wines in the world.
A blend of wines from the House’s best vineyards, Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé combines the elegance and finesse of Chardonnay (25%) with the structure of Pinot Noir (50%) and the fullness of Meunier (25%); combining fruity aromas with subtle floral notes, it is a rich wine with great length and character.
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé 2010 is a rare and precious vintage rosé champagne, whose pale apricot colour belies an extravagant personality characterised by alluring notes of white flowers and small red fruit.
A wonderful balance of generosity and elegance, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2004 is the most accomplished expression of the Perrier-Jouët style; it is composed of Chardonnay grapes sourced exclusively from the House’s two most exceptional parcels: Bouron Leroi and Bouron du Midi.
Floral and intricate, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2006 is the expression of a near-perfect growing season; crisp in the mouth, the wine is full and rich with a long, silky finish.
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2008 offers an ideal balance of delicacy and structure, combining the floral finesse of Grand Cru Chardonnay (50%) with Pinot Noir (45%) and Meunier (5%) for added roundness and allure.
