BELLE ÉPOQUE ROSÉ
The eyeA shimmering, pastel-toned, salmon-pink with luminous orange highlights.
The noseAromas of strawberry and peony with the tartness of kumquat and white currant.
The palateNotes of pink grapefruit and mandarin combined with the generosity of brioche.
I like to compare Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé to a pale pink ranunculus. I’m thinking not only of the flower’s pastel hue, but also of its multi-layered, ruffled petals, which suggest this cuvée’s surprising combination of richness and delicacy.SÉVERINE FRERSON
True to the free spirit of Maison Perrier-Jouët, Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé is a resolutely original champagne which combines rarity with the ability to surprise. First created in 1978, it is crafted only in exceptional years and produced in extremely limited quantities.
“Like all our vintage cuvées, Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé needs to be enjoyed in a leisurely manner,” says Séverine Frerson. “I would savour it with a meal, in a warm, convivial ambiance that reflects its character.” Ideal pairings include salmon or tuna cooked on one side only, salmon with cranberry sauce, pigeon or thinly sliced duck breast.
